The 28th of May we left to the South of France, Almanarre for the first stop of the European Championship. The place is known for really strong wind and the forecast was looking good.
The first day of the competition the wind was very strong and most riders were out on their smallest kites. The wind was pretty gusty and the sea was really choppy, which made it very difficult for everyone to show their best tricks. I won two heats in the singles, lost against Sabrina Lutz, and won the loosers final which gave me a 3rd place after the first day.
The second day the wind was a bit less strong and we continued with the double elimination. First I had to defend my 3rd place against Hannah Withely, after that I won against my good friend Nanette van der Snoek and I got second place. Then I had to go against Sabrina Lutz for first place, won my first heat and we had to do a super final which I lost. Really happy with my second place, next event will be in one month in Sylt, Germany!
